Day 1

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19

(MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – FLIGHT)

Arrival to the Miami International Airport 3 hours before the departure of our flight to Lisbon, which departs at 4:55 pm. Flight night.

Day 2

THURSDAY, JUNE 20

(LISBON AIRPORT – FATIMA)

The arrival to Lisbon is scheduled at 06:15 am local time. After the entry procedures into the country, we will go to Fátima. Early check-In at our hotel to take a shower and rest. Today we will have the first contact with this important Marian Sanctuary, and we will be able to participate in the events the Sanctuary offers, among them the Candlelight Procession stands out while the Holy Rosary is prayed. Lunch and dinner. Night in Fatima.

Day 3

FRIDAY, JUNE 21

(FATIMA)

Today we will dedicate the day to living the spiritual experiences that the Sanctuary offers in its different spaces. The main one will be the “Capelinha”. Of the six apparitions of the Virgin Mary, five took place in it – on May, June, July, September and October where, at the Lady’s direction, a chapel would be built in her honor. Built between April 28 and June 15, 1919, it was later blessed, with mass celebrated there for the first time on October 13, 1921. Destroyed with dynamite in the early hours of March 6, 1922, it was restored and reopened on January 13 of 1923. All meals included. Night in Fatima.

Another place of prayer will be the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. The Basilica is built in the place where the three little shepherds were playing on May 13, 1917 and saw a sudden flash of lightning that surprised them and made them gather the flock, to return home, afraid that it would rain. Their bodies are venerated here.

In the large esplanade, known as the Prayer Enclosure, you can find La Encina Grande, in fact, and as Lucía tells it, it was precisely when they were passing by this oak tree that the three little shepherds of Aljustrel saw for the second time the lightning that preceded the appearance of May 13. The image of the Sacred Heart was offered by a pilgrim and blessed on May 13, 1932, by the then Apostolic Nuncio in Portugal, João Beda Cardinale. You can also see a Manger scene and a piece of the Berlin Wall.

At the opposite end of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary is the Basilica of the Holy Trinity, it has a total of 8,633 seats and an underground complex with several chapels; of the Blessed Sacrament, Reconciliation, the Death of Jesus and the Resurrection.

You can also do the Via Crucis following the path traveled by the little shepherds that ends at the Hungarian Calvary – originally designated by “Hungarian Calvary Cardinal Mindszenty” – whose chapel is dedicated to Saint Stephen, king of Hungary. All meals included. Night in Fatima.

Day 4

SATURDAY, JUNE 22

(LOURDES)

Very early we will leave for Lisbon Airport to take our flight to Toulouse (France), which departs at 08:55* am and arrives at 11:45* am. Upon arrival, lunch and transfer to our hotel in Lourdes. First contacts with the Lourdes Sanctuary. All meals included. Night in Lourdes.

(*7 people will have their connection at 3:00 pm, arriving in Toulouse at 5:50 pm, and transferring to Lourdes upon arrival).

Day 5 to Day 11

FROM SUNDAY, JUNE 23 TO SATURDAY, JUNE 29

(LOURDES)

During these seven full days we will have a very special experience in the Sanctuary of Lourdes, where Saint Bernadette Soubirous saw the Virgin and received the message from her. The power of attraction for the sick of Lourdes gives it a special position and makes the work of those of us who go as volunteers a way of collaborating with the action that God carries out there through the intercession of Our Lady.

In addition to the help we can provide, we are recipients of God’s action, and we will benefit from acts of prayer, especially from the recitation of the Holy Rosary in the Torch Procession, from the Holy Mass, from the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and from the atmosphere of prayer that is lived.

The Sanctuary particularly offers us the place of the Grotto of the Apparitions, the three Basilicas; that of the Immaculate Conception (“I am the Immaculate Conception” is how the Virgin is presented in the language of the region), Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Pius X.

In Lourdes, pilgrims can receive God’s forgiveness in the chapel of reconciliation or prepare for this encounter by performing one of the Via Crucis proposed to meditate on the unconditional love of the Lord who gives himself until the end.

They can let themselves be carried away by praying the rosary in the Grotto, praying in communion with all the pilgrims present there and with all those who follow the prayer through TV Lourdes or social networks.

All who enter the Sanctuary can take advantage of the real presence of the Lord to have an intimate encounter with Him and place their sorrows and joys in the hands of the Lord, in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. All meals included. Night in Lourdes.

Day 12

SUNDAY, JUNE 30
