"El Señor es justo y bondadoso, nuestro Dios es compasivo; el Señor protege a los sencillos: yo estaba en la miseria y me salvó. Alma mía, recobra la calma, porque el Señor ha sido bueno contigo. El libró mi vida de la muerte, mis ojos de las lágrimas y mis pies de la caída. Yo caminaré en la presencia del Señor, en la tierra de los vivientes."

Salmo 116: 5 - 9

Thank you for choosing St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church to pray for the salvation of your loved one and help lead your family and friends from grief to a deeper faith in the resurrection.

Below are the steps to arrange a Funeral Mass in our church.

  1. Reserve a date:
Fill out the online Funeral Mass Request form to start the process. Our office will be notified of your request while you read the other steps and have an understanding of the questions we are going to ask you and things you need to do now and before the Mass.
  2. Readings:
Because this is a private mass, we always give our families the opportunity to choose the 2 readings for the mass. You can click here to select one reading from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament.
  3. Music:
You may coordinate all details including song selections with our Music Director. Musician honorariums are $200.
  4. Picture:
You may bring a framed photo of your deceased. We have an easel or small table where we can prop it up nicely on the altar.
  5. Eulogy:
We allow one eulogy after Holy Communion for no more than 5 minutes. Please let us know if someone will speak.
  6. Suggested Donation:
$300 payment via credit card (online or by phone) or check made out to Saint Katharine Drexel.
  7. Livestream
We offer a livestream service for $50 cash fee. Please contact Belkis to coordinate.
  8. Contact us:
Our Funeral Mass Director will discuss all these details and answer any questions you may have.
